What is InVeil

InVeil is P2P trading without the custodian — smart contracts hold the funds, anonymous arbitrators settle the disputes, and nobody else gets a say.

Advantages

  • No KYC. You sign in with a passkey, not an account. No ID, no email, no phone, no password — InVeil never asks because it never needs to.
  • Smart-contract custody. Your USDT lives in an audited contract on Arbitrum, not on InVeil's balance sheet. The contract has no admin-drain function and no privileged transfer path; funds only move along the settlement paths the code allows. InVeil cannot freeze, seize, or redirect a single cent.
  • Evidence-only arbitration. When a dispute opens, a fixed three-seat Senior Arbitration Committee reads both sides' encrypted evidence and rules on chain. No back channel, no "trusted mediator" who happens to know one of you, no review team quietly steering outcomes. We're upfront that the committee is centralized — see Arbitration for why we landed there over the alternatives.

Vision

We're building toward a fully decentralized free-trade platform — one where fairness isn't a promise from a company, but a property of the system itself. The end-state mechanism is a large pool of independent arbitrators, each staking USDT on being honest, drawn at random into panels whenever a dispute arises. Jurors are paid for voting in line with the eventual outcome and slashed for voting against it; with enough of them voting independently, the rational move is to vote for whatever the evidence most plainly supports — a convergence economists call aSchelling point.

That isn't where InVeil is today. A staked-juror pool only works when it's large enough that random draws are actually random; a small pool is worse than an accountable committee. So v1 ships with the Senior Committee as the only arbitration path, and the staking-pool design is the target of Inveil v2 if the platform reaches the volume to support it. See the Roadmap for the gating conditions.
