Your first trade

Sign in → fund → trade. Three steps, no seed phrase, no browser extensions.

1. Sign in with a passkey

InVeil signs you in with a passkey — the same biometric you use to unlock your phone. Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, your Android fingerprint. The key behind it is generated by your device, lives in its secure enclave, and never leaves. We never see it, never store it, never generate one for you.

  • Tap Connect in the top-right corner. Pick Get started if it's your first time, or I already have an account if you've signed in before. Your phone or browser handles the rest in one prompt.
  • Synced across your devices. On Apple devices your passkey rides on iCloud Keychain; on Android and Chrome it rides on Google Password Manager. Sign up on your phone, your laptop sees the same account when you sign in there. No QR codes, no seed phrase to copy down.
  • Telegram is optional but useful. When you post or take an offer, we'll ask you to verify the @username you're using right now so your counterparty can reach you. We never store the handle — it's looked up live each time.

2. Fund your account

Signing in gives you an account address — the place your funds live on Arbitrum. You can see it on the Fund page. Send it two things from any source you already have (an exchange, a friend, another address you control):

  • A small amount of ETH on Arbitrum — a few dollars is plenty. This pays gas for on-chain actions (taking an offer, releasing escrow, voting in a dispute). Gas on Arbitrum is cheap; you will rarely spend more than a few cents per transaction.
  • The USDT you want to trade with. This is your trading principal — it sits in your InVeil balance and moves into escrow only when you list or take an offer.

Your first on-chain action — posting, taking, staking — triggers a single Face ID prompt that puts your account on-chain in the same transaction. After that, normal trading goes silent through a 24-hour session that's automatically renewed when needed.

Idle USDT in your balance can earn yield while it waits. As soon as you take an offer, the exact amount needed moves into escrow. You see a single combined balance throughout — the split happens under the hood. A minimum trade size applies; the current value is shown on the Market page.

3. Trade

The Market page lists open offers by price, payment method, and reputation. Pick one to trade against, or hit "Create" to list your own. Offers let you set price, size limits, accepted payment methods, and free-form terms (a short note the taker must agree to).

See an offer you like? The maker's Telegram handle is right there on the listing — feel free to ping them first and chat before committing. When you're ready, hit Trade and the app will walk you through whatever comes next. Go explore. Good luck.
